Ultrasonography (USG) is an underused investigation tool by clinicians. It is inexpensive and can provide on the spot diagnosis for the patients. Maxillofacial USG especially intra-oral applications of USG is relatively new and gives many potential uses for maxillofacial radiologists. Treatment planning for maxillofacial pathologies involves gathering as much information as possible. Hence along with the focus of the course, the imaging of TMJ with various modalities will also be discussed with a special emphasis on Ultrasonography and (USG) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
